Physician Recruitment is Rural CEOs’ Top Concern

19 February 2010

HealthLeaders Media Survey Shows Priorities of Rural, Metro Hospitals

HealthLeaders Media recently completed their annual Industry Survey.  According to the survey and an article about the survey, the CEOs of rural hospitals indicated that their #1 concern for 2010 is physician recruitment.

In contrast, CEOs of metropolitan area hospitals listed cost containment as their top concern, with physician recruitment only coming in sixth on the list of priorities for 2010.

The Medicus Firm works with many hospitals in a variety of communities, rural, metro, large and small.  Just as the needs of each hospital are unique, and each CEO has different concerns, each recruitment strategy should be tailored to the specific needs of the hospital.

Our unique recruitment model offers hospitals the benefit of retained resources working on their behalf to market the opportunity and source candidates as a representative of their hospital.  Additionally, because our model is based on “per client” schedules instead of “per search” schedules, we are able to provide flexibility with reduced financial exposure.   Therefore, hospitals in communities of all sizes can achieve what they need most:  the results of a retained firm without the financial exposure created by many competing search firms that utilize a more traditional retained search model.

If you need to add physicians to your facility in 2010, our  team of experienced, regionalized recruiters may offer you the ideal balance of physician recruitment results and cost containment.
