14 September 2010Another great source of ideas and tips for physician recruiting and retention is the MGMA website (Medical Group Management Association). One particular post on their website provides a quick rundown of some great tips – many of which are the same ones we have touted here, including:
- Incorporating social media in your recruitment efforts
- Effective, targeted direct mail campaigns (to quote the MGMA post, “Direct mail still works”)
- Conducting thorough interviews throughout the process to gain a comprehensive understanding of the candidate’s professional situation, goals, and needs.
The post continues with many other more specific guidelines for recruitment and retention. I just came across the post this week, but it was written last summer by an MGMA consultant, and the tips still are very applicable in today’s recruiting environment.
